Halal

I am absolutely furious, what the hell is happening in this country? Have we lost all moral fibre, are we content to be walked over by immigrants following a 7th Century practice?

Granted I don’t eat meat but that’s irrelevant, there is now NO supermarket where most of the meat you buy is not Halal. Laws we’ve had for generations to ensure humane killing of animals just swept aside to please some Jews and Muslims. They and even our Government will try to convince you Halal causes no suffering, THIS IS A COMPLETE LIE!

To avoid any misunderstanding I am not anti immigration, Jews or Muslims but if you are welcomed here then accept our ways. If you find that difficult then don’t eat meat, you wont starve and in fact will probably be healthier.

If you have the stomach for it watch the truth. If you do buy meat I suggest you at least make the effort to go to your local butcher and check the animal died in the old British humane way.

Giant Salamanders

It’s a funny old World isn’t it?

Japan is putting in a lot of money and effort in to saving it’s giant salamanders which are being threatened by damming rivers and concrete banks to control the water supply.

Japan of course is in violation of pathetically weak regulations to protect whales and dolphins and is hell bent on hunting them to extinction. Like I said, it’s a funny old World.

‘Carnage’ in Scotland

It’s a funny old World isn’t it? Sixteen cows on a farm in Scotland were struck by lightening yesterday and here’s what the farm manager had to say:-

Farm manager Jim McDougal said he had been “very upset” by the “freak act of nature”.

“It is a shocking thing to see. I felt numbness, it was unbelievable.”

“They were all either sitting or lying where they had fallen in a regimented row. I have never seen anything like it in my life.

His wife Elizabeth said: “Jim could not believe the carnage he saw.

Try going to an abattoir Jim, they have ‘regimented rows’ of dead cows in their thousands, every day. At least these cows died under a tree quietly chewing the cud rather than being in a concrete shed having a bolt fired into their brains.

EU Chicken

It’s almost unbelievable I know but the Government (DEFRA) is actually proposing to allow an increase in the numbers of chickens in battery farms per square metre. They are already so tightly packed that their legs collapse, their lungs give out and their hearts fail. It is already a disgusting 17 birds per square metre and the proposal is to add two more.

The government excuse is that we will come inline with EU regulations. This is no excuse at all and DEFRA should obviously be demanding an improved EU standard. As a result of a previous campaign to improve the lot of chickens,, sales of free range birds have increased by 42% which shows that the British people have compassion and the Government should have the same.

If you are a outraged as me and want to protest to the Minister then just click the hens.

England O My England

Yesterday in Luton the East Anglian regiment marched through the town on it’s return from active service in Iraq. They were met by Muslim protesters waving banners saying ‘Anglian Regiment Go to Hell’ and shouts of “Anglian Soldiers: Butchers of Basra” and “Anglian Soldiers: cowards, killers, extremists”.  Now Freethinkeruk is no supporter of the Iraq invasion nor our involvement in Afghanistan but I support our military personnel as individuals who are merely pawns in this political game.

A friend of mine has recently suffered the loss of her 40 year old son who lived in Leicester. She has to wait for three weeks before the cremation can take place. This is an awfully long time for anyone to wait to begin the process of closure. So why is it such a long wait? The undertaker explained that Muslims get priority as their religion requires quick burial or cremation because of the health risks in the heat of the sun. What sun here in late winter in the UK? Don’t we also have fridges for any delay? Why should Muslims get priority in this sad matter or any other?

Anyone who knows me would confirm that I am neither a racist nor a bigot but in these ridiculous politically correct times I run the risk of being called or thought as such simply for speaking my mind and so beit. We, or rather successive governments, are giving away our nation. We changed our anti cruelty to animals laws to allow Halal meat, we have allowed mass immigration to swamp many of our ancient towns and cities, we spend a fortune on schemes to supposedly integrate Asians in the main into our society.

It is time to say enough is enough. Further mass immigration halted, no more concessions to culture or religions. A statement must be made clear that this is our country and you are welcome provided that you fit in with us and if you don’t wish to do so then don’t come here.

Tesco Pension Chicken Shit

The following from the Guardian/Observer

“Tesco has lobbied the government to push through reforms to the UK’s retirement rules that would allow the supermarket to cut its final salary pension payouts if employees live longer than expected. Documents obtained under freedom of information rules reveal that the company told ministers that employers should be allowed more flexibility in administering their schemes in the light of rising retirement costs. The documents show for the first time that one of Britain’s major employers is concerned that the rising costs of defined-benefit pensions will become an increasing burden under current rules. The revelation is expected to dismay unions at the supermarket, which is one of a dwindling band of employers offering guaranteed retirement benefits. Tesco emphasised that it remained committed to its scheme, and was asking government for more flexibility to help keep costs under control.”

It seems then that Tesco care as much for their loyal employees as they do for their chickens. £2.85 billion profit for April 2008!
